Complete the magnificent new Skyline Loop trail in a series of day-hikes. Get things started with a 9.3 mile point to point hike over the Osceolas. Warm up on Greeley Ponds Trail, then clamber up East Osceola and enjoy well-earned views from the summit of Mt. Osceola before descending back down to the Mt. Osceola trailhead on Tripoli Rd. Distance: 9.3 Miles Elevation Gained: 3435 Feet 4,000'ers: East Osceola, Mt. Osceola Difficulty: Very Strenuous According to the National Park Service's hiking difficulty calculator: "Only well-conditioned and well-prepared hikers should attempt very strenuous hikes. The hike will generally be long and steep, and may include rock scrambling, stream crossings, and other challenging terrain. Generally 8 miles and over."

What to bring: 1.Clothing appropriate for outdoor travel (non- cotton) Synthetic or wool materials are ideal. 2. Waterproof/wind proof top 3. Insulating layer (wool or synthetic) 4. Extra socks (non- cotton) 5. Hiking boots 6. Warm hat and gloves/ mittens 7. Backpack 8. Water 16-32oz. 9. Snacks (lightweight & high energy foods) 10. Headlamp 11. Personal items (cell phone, camera, medications, etc) 12. Trekking poles (if desired) + A smile & positive attitude!
